Eventide Meals on Wheels
For over 50 years and through more than 4.5 million deliveries, Eventide Meals on Wheels has been providing food and a smile to friends and neighbors around Lincoln. Volunteers deliver 500 hot meals a day, 365 days a year to serve seniors and neighbors in need. We’re proud to support Tabitha since 2010 through participation in Meals on Wheels, financial contributions, event sponsorship, and service on the organization’s board.
Food Bank of Lincoln
The Food Bank of Lincoln operates out of the firm belief that no one in our community should ever have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. By gathering and redistributing surplus food in 16 counties, the organization is helping to alleviate hunger in Southeast Nebraska. Since food is our passion, Lazlo’s is honored to participate in the Food Bank’s annual “Empty Bowls Luncheon” and “Dine Out to Help Out” programs. Our lifetime contribution to the Dine out to Help out event has exceeded over 55,130 meals to food-insecure families in Southeast Nebraska. In 2025, our donations provided 7,000 meals to food-insecure families in SE Nebraska.
Breakthrough T1d
Breakthrough T1D is a nonprofit organization that is leading the way to more effective solutions by connecting the brightest minds to advance treatments, influence policy, and improve access to care for Type 1 Diabetes patients. Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill believes that together, we can make a difference in the fight against TD1. Each September we allow our guests to add a donation to their meals to help us spread the word and raise money for this great cause. In 2025, we were able to raise $13,000 towards this great cause.
League of Human Dignity
The League of Human Dignity works hard to advocate for the rights of those with disabilities and ensure their opportunity to live, work and play in their communities. The League’s Centers for Independent Living provide services for their consumers to live full, independent lives. We are honored to support the League of Human Dignity through donations and participation in the organization’s golf tournaments in Lincoln and Omaha.
Historic Haymarket
Given our founding in this celebrated, energetic corner of downtown Lincoln, the Lincoln Haymarket Development Corporation is near and dear to our hearts. Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill and Empyrean Brewing Co. frequently participate in revitalization projects and special events held in the Historic Haymarket district.

ENVIRONMENT
We believe environmental responsibility starts with accountability. As a locally owned company, we take seriously how our restaurants impact the communities we serve and the resources we rely on.
That commitment shows up in the way our buildings are designed, how we operate day to day, and the long-term choices we make behind the scenes.
Energy Concious Design
We design our establishments from the ground-up with more than aesthetics in mind. Our buildings are designed to help to reduce energy consumption. Doors, windows and skylights are strategically placed to maximize sunlight. Our kitchens contain the most energy-efficient cooking equipment available, and dining rooms contain low-energy light bulbs on programmed timers.
Solar Arrays
Telesis, Inc. (our parent company) owns one of the largest private solar arrays in the state of NE. It can generate up to around 45,000 kwh/month during peak solar months (July and August). That’s enough energy to power about 50 typical residential homes for a month.
Geothermal Heating and Cooling Systems
Our Omaha, South Lincoln, and our sister restaurant FireWorks, all employe geothermal heating and cooling systems.
While geothermal systems have a larger upfront cost to install, they are about 40%-50% more efficient than conventional heating and cooling systems. So, we save around 40% of what we would spend for heating and cooling costs. Geothermal systems are also environmentally friendly and have lower greenhouse gas emissions than typical rooftop heating and cooling systems.
Recycling
We recycle glass, paper and cardboard, more than 80% of our used fryer oil is recycled into bio-diesel fuel. Our family dining venues recycle an average of 270 tons of assorted materials each year.
Local ingredients
We proudly source some of our local produce from Avert™ Vertical Cultivations, an urban hydroponic farm established in 2019 and owned by Telesis, Inc. They specialize in growing fresh, locally sourced produce using innovative methods for maximum safety and quality.
